Datto RMM MCP server and AI skills, in the works
Kaseya's cloud RMM: the whole fleet, one API away.
Datto RMM watches your endpoints from the cloud: devices, patching, monitoring alerts, and the jobs you run against them. It isn't on the board yet. This connection is being built in the open, and this page is the plan rather than a shipped surface. Once it's connected, a session will be able to read that picture live instead of you clicking through it.

The story
What changes once it’s connected.
Datto RMM answers the single-site questions well enough. It's the cross-site ones that cost you an afternoon. Which sites have devices dark this morning. What patch state actually looks like across every Windows server, worst first. Which monitor has been crying wolf all month. Once Datto RMM is on the board, those will be sentences you ask once, with the site and the device name attached to the answer, instead of a console tab per client and a CSV export at the end of it.
Two angles the console makes slow are the ones this connection is being built around. Jobs: which jobs were run against a device in the days before it went quiet, so the history arrives with the question instead of after a search through the job log. Sites: a Monday-morning ranking of which client sites carry the most open alerts, each site and device named. The plan is for each of those answers to cover every site at once, so you can open the record in Datto RMM and deal with it there.
A note on names, because the searches overlap. The Datto RMM Agent is Datto's own software: Datto describes it as a lightweight software program installed on a device, and you download it from the Add Device page in Datto RMM. Once installed, it connects to the Datto RMM platform and sends back an audit of the device's hardware and software. This page is not that agent, and it is not a download from Datto. MSPStuff's connection, still in the works, will connect AI to the Datto RMM platform, the cloud side the agents report into, through the REST API Datto provides. The agent will keep doing its job on each endpoint; the connection is planned to read what the platform already knows about them, and nothing will be installed on your devices.
Nothing here is connected yet, so nothing here is a claim about what it does today. What the connection will read is the fleet Datto RMM already tracks: devices and their check-in state, patch status, monitoring alerts and their history, and the jobs run against them. The full skill list, and the honest account of what the connection declines to touch, will be published on this page the day it goes live, the same way every live integration on this board publishes its own. Connecting will use a per-user API key and secret against your platform region, and the connect page will recommend read-only key permissions.

Does Datto RMM have an API or MCP server?
Datto provides a REST API for programmatic access to information and operations in Datto RMM. MSPStuff's Datto RMM MCP server is in the works and not available to connect yet. Once released, MSPStuff will host it for you, so there is nothing to install, and read-only key permissions are what we'll recommend.
Is this the Datto RMM agent?
No. The Datto RMM Agent is Datto's endpoint software, which Datto describes as a lightweight software program installed on a device, and you download it from the Add Device page in Datto RMM. MSPStuff's connection, still in the works, will connect AI to the Datto RMM platform through the API Datto provides, and nothing will be installed on your devices.
Is this a Datto RMM app from Datto?
No. This page is not a Datto download or a Datto mobile app. It describes a connection, still in the works, between the AI you use and the Datto RMM platform you already run.
When can I connect Datto RMM?

What will I need to connect Datto RMM?
API access turned on in Datto RMM, an API key and secret generated for a user, and your platform region. Datto's API documentation covers where to turn the API on and where each user's keys are generated, and read-only key permissions are what we'll recommend.
